TERMINOLOGY

"Entrant" refers to a user who enters the contest for a chance to win the prize.

"Guest" refers to a fellow Top Blokes Program Graduate that a winner may choose to invite as part of their prize.

"Winner" refers to an entrant who has been announced as a winner and has claimed their prize.

"Program" refers to Top Blokes Foundation's Mentoring Programs.

• The Bridge Climb contest opens on Monday, 27 February 2023 at 7pm and closes on Sunday, 19 March 2023 at 11:59pm. No further entries will be collected after this point.

• For an entry to be eligible, an entrant must:

  • Complete the Graduation Club application form to join the Top Blokes Graduation Club

  • Submit a response to the proposed contest question via the Graduation Club application form, or via email at gradclub@topblokes.org.au

• Competition entrants must:

  • Be aged 13 or older at the time of competition entry; and

  • Be currently in or have finished high school; and

  • Have graduated from a Top Blokes Program or be on track to graduate by the end of school term 2 of 2023.

• Each winner will be given the opportunity to invite another Top Blokes Program Graduate to participate in their bridge climb. This is optional.

• Guests must:

  • Be aged 13 or older at the time of the bridge climb; and

  • Be currently in or have finished high school; and

  • Have graduated from a Top Blokes Program or be on track to graduate by the end of school term 2 of 2023.

• Entrants and guests will need to provide the necessary Top Blokes Program participation details to Top Blokes Foundation. Top Blokes Foundation will check these details against their database to confirm Program graduation.

• Five (5) winners will be selected from New South Wales (NSW) and 5 winners selected from Queensland (QLD) in Australia.

• Entrants must be located in NSW or QLD, and winners must attend the bridge climb within their state, i.e. a QLD winner will not be permitted to attend the Sydney Harbour Bridge climb as part of this contest.

• Winners and guests must arrange their own transport to the bridge climbs.

• Entries and creation of entries must not include anything illegal or dangerous. Doing so may result in the relevant entries being disqualified from the contest and/or reported to relevant law enforcement authorities.

• Two (2) Mentors from Top Blokes Foundation will be accompanying each climb.

• Winners must be available to climb on the following dates:

  • QLD: Thursday, 13th April 2023

  • NSW: Friday, 14th April 2023

• The dates of the bridge climbs may be subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to weather conditions, bridge maintenance, rescheduling, etc. The date of the bridge climb will not be changed for reasons including but not limited to illness.

• Winners and guests will need to fill in a bridge climb health and safety declaration form. This form will assess if there are any health-related concerns preventing participation in a bridge climb.

• As per Brisbane Story Bridge's climbing requirements, winners and guests must be at least 110 centimetres (1.1 metres) tall and weigh under 130 kilograms to climb. As per Sydney Harbour Bridge's climbing requirements, winners and guests must be at least 120 centimetres (1.2 metres) tall.

• The content of contest entries will be owned by Top Blokes Foundation, as well as photos taken on the day of the climbs. These may be used for marketing and communications purposes. All entrants are within their right to withdraw consent of content use at any time, which will prohibit any further use of an entrant's content (past use is not included). Please contact gradclub@topblokes.org.au to withdraw consent.

• Once competition entries have closed, the Top Blokes Team will shortlist the top twenty (20) best entries. The ten (10) winning entries will then be selected by the Top Blokes Graduation Club Coordinator and the Managing Director. The winners will be notified by phone from Wednesday, 22 March 2023.

• All reasonable steps will be taken to contact the winners, however any prizes that remain unclaimed by Sunday, 26 March 2023 will be forfeited and the prize will pass onto the next participant ranked on the short list.

• In the case that this contest receives insufficient entries to fill the 10 available prize spots, Top Blokes Foundation reserves the right to extend the deadline for submissions and winner announcements.
