Queensland State Manager

The role

The State Manager owns the launch, growth and implementation of the Top Blokes program’s successes in the initial Queensland footprint. The State Manager works well with people inside and outside the organisation to establish and create opportunities for programs, fundraising, marketing and organisational growth.

Who are you and what will you do?

  • A bring-it-on kind of person - you’ll set sail and steer the ship for Top Blokes in Queensland

  • A community person – you can develop and manage relationships with people inside and outside of the organisation to grow the Top Blokes brand and impact

  • A self-starter – you can find and develop new opportunities for our programs so we can give mental health and mentoring support to more boys and young men in Queensland

  • A supporter – you have a deep passion for improving young male mental health and social well-being and can drive the culture and values of Top Blokes Foundation in Queensland, whether that be through training, mentoring, fundraising or marketing

  • A leader – you’re capable of building a fun, caring, collaborative and honest team environment and finding and training team members who can carry that into the safe space of the mentoring programs

  • A touchstone – you can work with and train our Queensland Youth Workers to deliver our mentoring programs to a high and consistent standard, no matter where we are

  • An advocate – you can find and coordinate opportunities to raise funds and awareness for our mentoring programs to increase our impact on young male health

Who are we?

  • We’re mentors to boys and young men across Australia

  • We build critical-thinking and resilience to empower boys to manage tough situations, including peer pressure and breaking stereotypes

  • We build empathy and upstanding skills to recognise and change attitudes and behaviours that negatively impact themselves and the people around them

  • We use our voice to encourage the community to invest in young male health to benefit the boys who will become men who will play significant roles in the lives of their families and communities
