Time to pull up a chair and have a yarn. This Movember we’re kicking off Season 2 of Top Blokes Uncut – straight from the barber chair and into your news feed. Top Blokes Youth Worker, Thomas – our first haircut off the ranks – chats openly about his world growing up, what it’s like for young men struggling to find themselves and how we can redefine what being a man means to us today and build the confidence to find our own way.
This isn’t your average locker-room talk. Thomas and barber Nick go deep into vulnerability, strength and everything in between. They explore the importance of knowing who you are, finding connection and living by your values.
“Growing up, I had to figure out for myself where I fit within the world because I didn’t really have a positive role model to look up to,” says Thomas.
“I think what makes Top Blokes so special is that we come across as real people… You don’t have to live up to this big standard. Just live up to the standard that you set yourself. Just as long as you’re a good man, that’s all that matters,” Thomas reminds us.
