Kieran Foran: Champion On and Off the Field

Kieran Foran, veteran NRL player and Top Blokes ambassador, has been awarded the prestigious Ken Stephen Medal at the 2025 Dally M Awards — one of the highest honours in rugby league for community service.

At Top Blokes, we’re proud to have Kieran as one of our ambassadors. His journey mirrors everything we stand for: authenticity, empathy, leadership, and a deep belief in the power of young men to overcome adversity and build a brighter future.

This medal recognises players who go above and beyond to make a difference in their communities. In Kieran’s case, it honours a deeply personal and powerful mission: to support young men navigating mental health challenges and grief, and to use his own journey to help others speak up and seek help.

From loss to legacy

Kieran’s drive to create change was born from tragedy. After losing his stepson Logan to suicide in 2023, he made a commitment to speak openly about mental health, challenge stigma, and ensure that young men know they’re never alone.

His advocacy work has been hands-on, heartfelt, and deeply aligned with the mission of Top Blokes.

“My commitment to this space now is to help educate young guys to not make that fatal decision. They don’t understand what they are leaving behind. I want them to know they are seen, heard, and valued,” says Foran.

Why this award matters

The Ken Stephen Medal recognises the kind of leadership we celebrate at Top Blokes: one rooted in empathy, lived experience, and a desire to create safe spaces for boys to grow into strong, respectful men.

Kieran has modelled every principle we ask of our ambassadors

  • Authenticity: Sharing his story with raw honesty
  • Leadership: Guiding others through grief and recovery
  • Empathy: Connecting with young people as equals
  • Empowerment: Using his platform to spark change

Thank you Kieran

Kieran’s award reflects the heart, courage, and humanity he brings to everything he does. In the face of unimaginable loss, he chose to stand up, speak out, and fight for a better future for young men. He’s taken his pain and turned it into a powerful force for change—and we are deeply honoured to walk alongside him.

Congratulations, Kieran. You’ve shown what true leadership looks like. And together, we’ll keep lifting each other up — one young bloke at a time.
