Youth Workers

Be who you are, love what you do

Since 2006, we’ve been driven to create a positive impact in the lives of boys and young men. Our diverse team of dedicated Youth Workers, mental health advocates, and mentors thrive on bold ideas, forging meaningful connections, and empowering young males to embrace their authentic selves and live their best lives.

The role

As a Top Blokes Foundation Youth Worker, you’ll be delivering our key programs that inspire, challenge and empower boys and young men to lead healthy and safe lives, positively impacting themselves and those around them. You’ll also be helping raise awareness of Top Blokes’ purpose and brand through your interactions with the boys, the schools, our media and our communities.

Who are you and what will you do?

  • A people person – you enjoy connecting with people who cross your path, from our young men to our growing team and to our various stakeholders.
An open book – you aren’t afraid to be open and honest and share your life experiences with the young men we mentor. You also have that spark that encourages these young men to do the same.
A team player – you thrive in a team of like-minded individuals with varying personalities and experiences, but with a shared common goal: to improve young male health through mentoring and awareness.
A bring-it-on kind of person – you throw yourself into all experiences that come your way. You’re the kind who takes ownership in your role and wants to keep developing your skills, no matter the challenge.
An advocate – you’re passionate about mentoring and supporting young males to be their best selves, and can step up to show this passion through our marketing activities, including social media, community and mass media appearances.

Who are we?

We’re mentors to boys and young men across Australia
We use a strengths-based approach to encourage boys and young men to make positive decisions about their own health and the well-being of those around them
We build critical-thinking and resilience to empower boys to manage tough situations, including peer pressure and breaking stereotypes
We build empathy and upstanding skills to recognise and change attitudes and behaviours that negatively impact themselves and the people around them
We use our voice to encourage the community to invest in young male health to benefit the boys who will become men who will play significant roles in the lives of their families and communities
