Safe. Heard. Respected.
Every young person deserves to feel safe, respected and listened to.
At Top Blokes, child safety is part of who we are, how we work, and how we show up for young people every day.
We work with boys and young men in schools, communities and online spaces. That means we have a responsibility to create environments where young people feel safe, supported, included and able to speak up.
What do you need?
our commitment to young people
We’re here to help young males lead healthy and safe lives.
Our commitment to young people is simple: your safety, wellbeing and voice matter.
At Top Blokes, we are here to create spaces where boys and young men feel safe, respected, included and heard. We will listen when something does not feel right, take concerns seriously, and act with care.
We will work to protect young people from harm, support them to speak up, and make sure our programs, people and practices put their safety first.
Every young person deserves to feel like they belong, just as they are.
How we keep young people safe
Keeping young people safe is not one thing we do. It is part of how we choose our people, run our programs, listen to young people and respond when something does not feel right.
We choose safe people
We choose safe people
Everyone who works with young people at Top Blokes goes through checks before they start, including Working with Children Checks or Blue Cards and police checks.
We also look for people who respect young people, understand boundaries and show up in a way that is safe, honest and professional.

We create safe programs
We create safe programs
Our programs are planned with young people’s safety and wellbeing in mind.
We think about the age of the group, where the program is being delivered, the topics being discussed and the support young people may need. We want every session to feel safe, respectful and real.

We make it safe to speak up
We make it safe to speak up
Young people should feel able to ask questions, share what is going on and tell us if something does not feel right.
Our team is here to listen without judgement. If a young person raises a concern, we take it seriously and follow the right steps to help keep them safe.
We also look for people who respect young people, understand boundaries and show up in a way that is safe, honest and professional.

We take care in person and online
We take care in person and online
We work with young people in schools, communities and online spaces.
That means we take care with supervision, communication, photos, filming, personal information and digital spaces. We use approved channels, seek consent when needed and protect young people’s privacy.

We keep learning and improving
We keep learning and improving
Our team receives child safety training and follows our Code of Conduct.
We keep reviewing what we do, learning from feedback and strengthening our approach, because young people’s safety is an ongoing responsibility.

sOMETHING NOT FEELING RIGHT?
YOUR SAFETY. YOUR VOICE
At Top Blokes, your voice matters. You have the right to feel safe, respected and included in our programs. You have the right to ask questions, share your thoughts and tell us if something does not feel right. We will listen to you. If you are worried about something, uncomfortable with something, or unsure about something that has happened, you can speak to anyone on our team, a trusted adult, someone at your school, or another support service.
You do not have to have the perfect words. You do not have to figure it out on your own. If something feels off, it is okay to say so.
We will take you seriously and do what we can to help keep you safe.
